Ann was very supportive – and challenging at the right times. She had at hand many illustrative examples to help my decision-making.  But she was also kind and sympathetic and gave me space when I needed it. I was very impressed with the well thought out options that were clearly laid out. Much though had gone into the process, which, in turn, provoked much thought on my part.

It was actually quite enjoyable and fulfilling - and I felt it to be a worthwhile exercise that will help those involved when they need to be. I would absolutely recommend Ann. The programme is good and well thought out – I couldn’t think of anything that was missing – and Ann’s experience in the subject makes her an excellent guide.

Life Changing, Lightness of mind and spirit. Now I’m getting these things thought about and done and feel very well prepared indeed.
I have sorted a new will – all signed, LPAs are 90% there, others underway and fewer mental blocks about it .
Helena
Liberating, now not afraid to contemplate and discuss with friends and (some) family. It has been very valuable; I hope this is the first of many (programmes)

I went to a talk Ann gave, this inspired me to sign up to her course because it all feels overwhelming.  Each meeting we focused on a different aspect of forward planning.  She is very supportive and so encouraging and knowledgeable I found by the time of finishing the course I had covered a lot and felt more confident about ongoing tasks like updating the will or my living will. The legal power of attorney’s applied for is a big weight off my mind, even though it may be 10- 20 years until they are useful!
Anne
Very informative and enjoyable, and Ann was very good at answering all our queries and  making some of the more complicated tasks feel manageable .   We all achieved a lot and felt enabled to take the tasks forward ourselves after the course finished. Carola

Ann was passionate in enabling the residents to receive the care and support that they wished, and introduced End of Life plans to the residents, who recorded what support they wished at the end of their lives. An example of this is where a terminally ill resident wished to be cared for in his own flat to die. This had not happened prior to this (as brothers would normally move into the Care Home on site ). Ann ensured that the correct team were involved to deliver their wishes, and encouraged family members to be part of the End of Life Care. This was a “good death “for the brother and his family, as the brother had been able to describe what his wishes were.

Ann set up Death Cafes for residents, which was a positive and safe place for people to discuss their fears and provided signposting to other professionals and organisations (such as legal information for writing wills, applying for Power of Attorney etc.)

Former Director of Health and Wellbeing, the Charterhouse

I found Ann a careful listener who helped me focus on which aspects of my planning required attention. Her encouraging and straightforward problem-solving outlook, as well as signposting to resources was most helpful. You will find her a thoughtful and skilful guide in developing a plan that incorporates your wishes and communicates them clearly.
